Default Door locks

Just purchased a 2011 RVR (Canadian version of the Outlander Sport). The doors do not lock automatically when the car is put into gear or when starting off. Very odd! Every vehicle that I have owned over the last 10-15 years have had auto door locks. Is there something wrong with my Mitsubishi?

I have a 2014 Outlander Sport ES, can I active the door locks.... unlock when car is shut off & put in park, lock when car is put in D and moving? Or does this require a trip to the dearer?

Thanks,

Not everyone lives in the middle of the desert. Someone living in a denser population place might might find this increased safety feature helpful.

Default Door Locks

Great... first thread on this forum and I get a reply from some clown " why the hell do I want them". With all due respect....None of your dam business why, answer the question or shut up! Anyway, (I don't know why I'm going any further with this) safty is not the issue. It's convenience.

Thanks,
