Got a letter from Mitsu on breaking front springs
Got a letter recently from Mitsu. In an effort to keep the customers happy, they are increasing the warranty on my Outlander's suspension to 9yr/120k miles. They stated the reason was due to the salt used on the roads causing excessive corrosion and breaking the front coil springs. Sounds like an odd reason...but curious if others have gotten this letter.

I got one.
People in cold climates are the ones that usually post that they had theirs break. Hope they saved their receipts....
2007, original owner, 95k miles - front springs are "noisey" on cold days going through lets say a slow dip, but thats it.

I called them and they said only covers breakage. Since I purchased mine in 2006, that leaves me the summer/fall 2014 and thats about it. I inspected them last week, and although they looked fine, as others have experienced, they can just break without warning. Sucks...
