Arrow Just got a letter from my dealership

Here is what they said "I am writing to you because we have Special Payment Reduction program that can be to your benefit. You are eligible to terminate your finance or lease agreement earlier then you think and upgrade to a new Mitsubishi, near or below your current monthly payment. If your vehicle is not paid off you may be able to drive away in a new Mitsubishi vehicle at a lower payment! Bring this letter to the dealership and we will make your first month's payment on your new Mitsubishi."

Do you guys think this is a scam or is there some truth to it?

They can get you out of your current lease/finance and into a new unit. What they don't tell you is that the payments on the new one will be like starting all over again. 60, 72 or even 84 months...but the payment will be the same.

There's no free ride. Enjoy your current vehicle. Pay it off and save the monthly payment in an account until you can buy whatever vehicle outright or with a huge down payment.
