Default 90 GSt

So I test drove a 90 GST, 111 K.

He has 6 on a new 16G turbo, pushing 14 PSI. Thing is fast as ****.

3 inch cat, no restrictions, downpipe, but the downpipe is cracked...BUT its under warrnty and can be fixed.

Interior is nicer then my 96. He says it runs vetts

THE ONLY THING thats stoping me from it...is the head gasket is slowly leaking? He says its mine for 2G, along with all new lights, and 6 pairs of TSI rims and tires...what you all think?

How much horse is it pushing....stock internals can usually only take around 400....if its more than that you are going to have to build up the motor for it to be safe...I would get it if I had the money to do a complete rebuild on the motor. If you don't, then there is a chance that you'll get blown in a bad way...meaning bye bye head gasket. It's your money man and if you can rebuild the motor...go for it. If anything, you can sell off those TSW's to get some financing for the rebuild and definately get the downpipe fixed yourself....it will save you a headache or two.

the 1G motors are better than 2G it can take a little more abuse. it isnot making 400HP anyway it is maybe 250-280 if it is lucky if I had to guess. sounds like it is alright I would haggle a little if the Head gastkiet is on its way out

Because it flows 100x better than the T25. the 16G at 12PSI will make more power than the T25 at 16. soooo the 16g at 15 will out do the T25s capabilities

the 1G motor is built alot better. the entire bottom end of the 2Gs is knnow to break down it was a factory deffect. The 2G motor is refferd to as the 7 bolt and the 1G is the 6 bolt motor. that is the # of bolt on the flywheel.

Just research "crankwalk" and there lies your answer to all the questions on that.

And sebba I forgot we were talking 1G so yes if it is a 5spd its a 14b turbo stock if it was an auto it was a 13G I think it was called or something like that, and the 14B is almost on par with a 16G but still the 14b doesnt flow as well
