Default Dirt racing eclipse

I went out this morning to start my car up to check some things. I turns over and runs for a minute and then shuts off. Try to restart and does the same thing. Does anyone know why it is doing this? Also, is running 250 degrees for temp. on a 1/2 mile dirt track normal or is that high? Any suggestions on keeping it cool? Running 50/50 coolant mixture, water wetter, a new radiator, fans pull air in constantly(have them set up to run this way). Just about ready to give up.

could it be possible to put a water sprayer on your radiator? or would that be illegal for you?

maybe you have more of a problem with the car. Like a had gasket or something. Something that is making it get hot

some company's make intercooler water systems and such that you could use on your radiator to help keep the temp down.
