Default First post and first mitsubishi ive owned!

Hey all just picked up a 93 eclipse GS for 550$ The inside and outside are spotless but the timing belt broke on the guy that had it. Basically whats in the car now is a 92 eclipse gs motor. What is going to be interchangeable between these two? Thanks for all the help guys.

Your best bet is to pull the head and see how bad the damage is.

I pulled the head off and visually i dont see any damage besides some nicks on the top of the 2 of the pistons so i know there was a little contact.. I think im going to replace the valves most likely. Is the best way to check the valve is to just remove them from the head or what?

If the valves contacted the piston I would just replace the head and take a close look at the piston and make sure there is no cracks.
