Also I agree about the Cap being necessary but it shouldn't kill the battery sometimes and sometimes not. He'll burn out the alternator long before it should kill the battery. It also depends how he rolls with the stereo. All the way up? Or at a lower more respectable level?
mostly its really loud, and then ill turn it down when cops ae around. im not sure how much power there is running through because my friend put the stereo in, but i have two 8' rockford fosgate subs and two amps with a pioneer deck

look at both the amps and look at how much power your deck pull on the front it sould say 50X4 for ex this would be 200W and the amps should just be labled how many watts they push add they all together and get a grand total.

Their is to many things it could be for us to tell you best advice, which yes was already said, go to a autozone/advanced auto.
