missfire on hard excell

Default missfire on hard excell

just started a few days ago, when I'm excellerating hard, 4k+. It seems to miss avery so often, if thats what you can call it. It kinda hesitates for just a second then nothing, then again, till I back off, then it's fine. any ideas?

CEL = Check Engine Light. I'd say check your fuel filter/change it if it hasn't been done in a while. Think about running a fuel system cleaner through it as well.

Do you have alot of Mods on your car??You probly need new plugs and wires.You probly don't have enuff spark.

plugs and wires, my buddies TSi AWD talon did that once it hit 4K and only under full boost. pulled the wires and the cracked in hand...the plugs were not even hand tight either. id say change them first and then move on from there

ok, so what is the importance of aftermarket wires/plugs? Something like Nology, MSD, etc...or should I just buy off the shelf? Mods are, no cat, Dejon Tool intake, K&N air filter, no a/c (if thats a mod).

Bigger wires allow more current to travel. Nology wires have a built in capacitor to build the charge and let it all go at once giving a more powerful spark. Regular wires are the bare necessity to run the egine. That's the basic idea behind the different wires.
