Default need some help!!!!!!!

ok, i found a 1993 eagle talon. (cant find a forum) it has 90000 miles. it is 1000 dollers. they said it needs a timing belt and some tranny issues. should i buy it for 1000 dollers and fix it up or would the engine be toast from the timing belt?

Depends. Did the timing belt BREAK or did it jump time or what? These engines if the timing jumps more than 1 tooth you could possibly bend the valves. Tranny issues.. What KIND of trans issues? Does it not go into gear? Is it not shifting up or down? Likely going to need a trans replacement but for 1000 it all depends on the shape of the body and the interior. At this point you're looking at a head rebuild and valve job and a trans replacement but if everything else is in good shape I'd say go for it.

the guy said the timing belt broke, i think, or myabe he just said it needs replacement. is it bad if it broke? the body and interior is in awsome shape and it has a cd player. i am going to test drive it tommorrow or the nest day so i can tell you about the tranny. how much would a new tranny be?

I wouldn't test drive it if the timing belt hasn't been fixed... But for $1000... You could probably get close to that parting it out... If it's running though then I'd imagine they fixed the head already...
