Default no this is the worst

1.8 major rebuild . we put in everything new crank to cam rods pistons . 700 miles on the new motor and i now have a quater size hole in the block right under the intake and ac bracket . The car showed no signs of any trouble it was running perfectly all of a sudden boom white smoke and a fricken hole in the block. the body on this car is in great shape no rust just clear coat fading. the interior is in good shape 1 rip on drivers seat anyone want to buy it im done with this stuff no more older cars for me i need to get rid of it any takers

did you find out what caused the hole?? couldnt have thrown a rod, the 1.8 dont have that kind of power.. maybe you installed something incorrectly and it was just a ticking time bomb..
