Default Performance Question About old school eclipse

If you havent noticed i'm new here.Let me explain my car situation first, I love Mitsubishi, My main car is a Chrysler Sebring lxi v6 auto (mitsubishi Engine) It has blitz body kit, cold air intake, custom duel exhaust, lowering springs,17 inch black rims,5% tint, ground wire'n kit,Ecu chip,Throttle body bore, platnium plugs and wires, spoiler, sony xplode,2 12's ,orange underbody, da da daaa
anyways the point, I quickly noticed the 3200lbs Sebring with 170hp was not a racer, and i loved older eclipses, i'm only 18 and found a 94 eclipse 5spd 1.8liter for $500, in almost prestine condition, no bumps ,still shines no rust, but needs a coil. I bought it and wanted to race it around here. Before you think anything, i know it has 92hp and weighs 2500lbs and it can be "fast" But up here theres nothing real fast. The fastest car in town is a 14 second subaru. Most cars are from 15 sec. to 17. I just want to keep up ya know.
Now i need sugestions, first let me tell you what i have, or have done so far,

First I stripped the inside,Took out the panels, carpet, seats, The Dash, heater core,ac, EVerything, the only thing in the car is a light weight race seat, steering wheel, and shifter, next week i am hooking up the new speedometer and tach.-so i cut some weight

cut the springs(I know Iknow[&o])

Then i took out the power steering, ac, belts, units, and pulleys, also the air box went and so did the windsheild washor resiovor
put in a cold air Intake

Now my plans, tell me if it will work,Advance the timing, try the throttle body spacer,2.5 inch pipe all the way back with a high flow cat into a fart can,(i found a set of headers on ebay it says will work for the base but i'm scared)

Lexan windshield and side windows and a cheap fuel cell(cut down more weight)

Front and rear strut bar

Looking for a underdrive pulley, unless ones for the 2.0 will work, and ecu work somehow

I have a msd style ignition i want to get out in when they fix my coil, its a sport compact 6a, then some good plugs and wires with it.
but what all do i need to install the ignition?

ANd later on like thins winter slap on a body kit and maybe nitrous.

I know what your thinking, why would someone try to make this slow car fast, but i got to use what i have, unlike most kids around here mommy and daddy dont buy me a new 06 civic.
so please help, any suggestions

thanks in advance

if my mommy or daddy( which i dont live with) gave me a civic, i would sell it because they are slow. but anyways, its gonna be kinda har d to get a N/A car to go fast, but id say intake, headers, exhaust. i dont critize anybody. id say forget the body kit because there is like only two out there that fit the 1G's, ( but thats just me).

If i remeber correctly the fastest n/a eclipse can only run about a low 15 sec. And that was with the 420a. With your motor being an even smaller engine there really is no way to make that fast without a turbo and some internals. But its all gonna have to be custom done because its will be pretty impossible to find a place that makes a turbo kit for that car.

Get a hedder and just leave it open, no cayt. Forget the throttlebody spacer, its a waste of money. Other then a motor swap thats as far as your going to be able to get. Be careful when advancing the timming, too far foward an you will bend a valve and need a new head.
