Sounds almost like fuel cut. My second thought would be spark ignition wires or plugs. If it was your turbo you would be blowing white/blue smoke of your exhaust.
ive seen smoke com from my exhuast, and under my hood, and it always smells like burnt oil. idk, the smoke ive seen out of my exhaust is dark colored.

Turbo...

What turbo do you have? How many miles are on the turbo? The stock turbo sucks and its known to give out around 100k sometimes less if you have a MBC

your turbo is most likely gone. Take off your intake and check for shaft play or anything abnormal.

EDIT: Also tell me how easily the compressor wheel turns. Like if its stiff or something.

a studder is not fuel cut, fuel cut feels like your engine jus blew up or u hit a wall. you can check the turbo for shaft play sure, but turbos are not known to go out at 100k miles there is no set number. i dont see how the turbo could be bad though if it drives fine in gears 2-5. try to isolate the problems and discribe them better

ok uhm, my turbo doesnt spool in 1st gear, but it still stutters at 4500 if i gun it, i found if i leave the pedal at a certain spot it will allow me to rev high but SLOW, and then 2-5 is the same, i can go slow into t, and not floor it. but idk
