Default strange miss / fuel cut?

i dunno what to call it exactly, before i used to have the CEL on all the time untill the trans exploded.
i never got the code from the ECU and of course had the battery unhooked when putting in the new trans.
now in 3rd gear right about as it hit 14-15 PSI it drops dead for a split second then comes back on, contunues to 18 psi where i have it setand pulls strong the rest of the way through 3rd and does the same in 4th gear
the feeling is identical to the dead response you get when you shiftwhen the BOV isnt recirculated & it falls flat on its face for a sec when you get back on the throttle
could my MAF be going goofy? seems weird it never did it untill the battery was unhooked - it was raining tonight when i noticed it - earlier in teh day before the rain it didnt complain a bit
of course your all gonna go through the same "check for vaccum / boost leaks" routine, alrady been through it, evrything - plugs, wires, timing, fuel pressure, all the obvious stuffive been over already

maybe the map sensor. Just from having a CEL its got to be some sensor that is f'ing it up.

well my CEL was 02 sensor (code 11), that could be a big part of it breakin up at 14 psi one minute, the next it runs like hell on 18, now i get fuel cut over 20 psi

no i have a 255Lph walbro in the tank and ran new wire and relayto get the volts back up, heres the deal, i changed my fuel filter, now its goin lean randomly - the pump sounds tired, i think its time for a new one
the old filter was clogged , the new one i checked out for blockage or any restrictions

speaking of fuel - on a stock FPR what happens if you elimintae the FPR selonoid and hook the vac. hose straight from the intake to the regulator? will the pressure come up higher under boost?
this ones on a different mostly stock car

what exactly is anyones version of "fuel cut". my car lately over 20 psi doesnt break up at all, it just dies quickly alltogether for a split second, it bangs so damn loud when the motor cuts out the first time i heard it i thought the transmission exploded again, must be my weak mushy motor mounts - jerks hard
is that what you call fuel cut or is that MAF overrun and it flippin out
or maybe its preignition and im lucky i didnt bend a rod orblow a hole in a piston yet....
