Whats the power potential of an evo 3 16g? this 20g spools too damn slow for me driving it on the street, im thinking of putting a 16g on to drive with, then when i go to race it for fun ill throw on the 20g and retune. This car is more of a weekend toy but i been running it to work & back so i dont have to unhook my car trailer from my truck every other day. the GSX is dead.
the 20G spool is not all that much slower than the 16G and the power output i much better.
My 16G hits full blast at around 3400 and it is a twin scroll (which helps spool) and its big16G. And the max power outof your average 16G is right around 360HP when the 20G is about 100more HP than that roughly

i been keeping it down to 18 max on pump gasbut its not getting much of anywhere untill 4500. i have lower compression (7.0:1) so that dont help it either.

well i run it at 28-30 PSI when im playin but i turn it down when i drive it daily to keep myself from getting a ticket, if i dont i keep launching it from every light sideways with all 4 tires roastin off and drivetrain parts are gettin expensive

in 5,000 miles ive trashed all 4 tires that were brand new.
as far as not spooling till 4500 its like that no matter how i tune. i tried to lean it out in the lower RPM a hair to spool it quicker and bump the timing up some then i end up with detonation. its picky. makes me wonder if thewastegate doesnt leak.

ur spool time is so long b/c of ur 7.0's. to get a quicker spool on something that low of compression you'll have to stroke it or get a higher compression. 28-30 sounds more realistic to me with that CR. just keep it down when ur driving and turn it up when ur racing. do you have a EBC?
