why do you feel the need to bash me, you asked for help, and im trying my best to help you dude. I am offering my advice from 10 years of mutzing with cars, and especially import cars. I was doing nothing but answering your questions based on my own experience with automobiles. I am failing to understand what you are talking about, i read your post three times to make sure I was understand what you were asking before I replied again. You dont seem to understand that you are apparently still having the problem, and that I am trying to help you solve it. I can grasp the part of you already replacing it once, as our fearless leader stated above, you might have gotten a bad one when you replaced it. It is not uncommon for that to happen. I was trying to explain that I guess in the wrong way, my bad.
So here ya go (and I know already this is going to get edited or deleted, but) Dude, your motor just sucks, and your a ****ty mechanic, Dont go blamin everyone else in the world cause you didnt get **** righ to begin with. Sorry for tryin to help you, I am sure that in your million year experience you have already encountered this problem before, and already know how to solve it. Then again, why would you be bothering to ask at all.
Dont take that **** the wrong way bro. i dont really think you are a ****ty mechanic, nor do I think that your motor sucks. I dont know you, and you dont know me. All I know about you is that you are having some pretty common problems, and you are asking for advice in how to remedy it. I dont have any hard feelings toward you, nor do I wish any bad will on you. I would like to be able to help you, maybe I am just not wording what I am trying to say in a way that you can understand it. Sorry for that bro.
Good luck with your problem. I truly hope you get it fixed!

look at it from my point of veiw, i say what ive replaced, and where the problem is, and i get answers that are way off. I dont intentionall try to bash you, but heres the deal, i'm a foreman, i put up with complete ****ing idiots for 10 hours every night then i get on here, and by this time of night im really tired of dumb ****. When you argue about an o-ring Vs a gasket and talkto me like im stupiud..that will get me goin.
I build race engines, stock engines, anything, and ive built motors from 5 HP go-carts up to motors for dirt super late models that pump out 800 horse or more and crank close to 9000 rpm endlessly.
what i dont do every day is replace a valve cover gasket twice, then use a different valve cover and still get a leak where it meets the head every time. Must just be this import junk im working on.
I'm just gonna let it leak as much as it wants. its still faster than alot of **** around here, so they can go ahead and laugh at my smoking car when they got oil and rubber on their windsheild
so ill leave it at that. Ill leave the hood shut, problem solved.[8D]

Racerx55. I understand where your coming from man. Being a general contractor myself, I can completely understand your frustration with morons every day. If its not some damn idiot electrician putting a stove plug in the middle of the wall 20 inches up from the floor in a completely useless location, its the damn painter rinsing his brushes out by the hydrant outside, and then using the brick to scrape the oil based paint off on, and leaving it for months till the house closes, and then I gotta come up with a way to remove it. Or my personall favorite, Framers that dont seem to understand the diffrence between a 6-12 pitch or 10. I know where your commin from bro, its a pain in the ***,
I didnt mean to come across as an *******, or tryin to be an idiot myself. Like I said before, I have had the same problems before lotsa times, And I was just tryin to offer advice from my experience.

engineer dont start with me too. ive never had any problems with you.
if your buying me a new valve cover, ill gladly try it. I'd rather not spend the money when i have 3 here.
the one i have thats cracked leaks less than the other 2 that arent cracked, new gasket or not, with or without any kind of sealer. either the head is warped out of shape that bad, cracked in an oddball place,or its just a piece of **** typical mitsubishi. its like the spark plug tubes are up too high. next time its off ill put it to the mill again, but on the top this time.then ill have to resize the cam journals to get them back in spec.
the plug holes are dry and th gasket gets smashed pretty good in there, so i tightened the outside ones even more, i can see the gasket mush down a little, but it still wants to leak. i'm gonna pull the valve cover off my GSX (which would make 4 valve covers) and if it leaks too, then i guess its the head eh?[&:]
i'm not worried now since clutch #3 just started slipping out of nowhere. and i got a race car to put together in a week to go run it at practice to break in the engine.
