Some of You may remember me. I am the guy with the 16 yo that wrecked his 932.0 (4g63) eagle talonand bought a 94 eclipse with the blown up 1.8.... Well the swap is done and the car is running !! I Want to thank Those of You that responded to my questions and the Board itself for being here. Now more about the swap, it was a rather easy up and down (mounts were the same) It didn't take me long to figure out that the wiring harneses were not the same from car tocar. So when I pulled the 2.0 out I left the harness attached to the engine and cut it just to the left of where it comes thru the firewall (checked both harnesses and they were the same there) then unhooked the brain and pulled the harness thru the firewall. I had to use the brain out of the eagle as well.
In summary I would have liked to not havehad to do this swap.(thankfully my son was not hurt in the wreck...He hit a rather large tree with the drivers door.) But since we had to do this it was fun,I really enjoyed having my son with me working on the car, He learned It could be done and I thinke he no longer thinksI'm all that dumb after all....lol
