Default 14b turbo swap?

Yeah i have a 97 Gst with pretty much everybolt on you can get. I just got a 14b turboin good condition out of91 eclipse that my buddy has. I already have the 2g install kit.In order to run that 14b effecienty i was thinking about upgrading my stock fuel pump. What size fuel pump do you think ill need?Walbro 190lph or 255lph? Do i need to upgrade my injectors??Will i need a SAFC to controll the larger fuel pump? I plan on getting a Evo 3 16G next summer so what ever fuel pump i get i want it to be large enough for that. Any Advice???

go for a 255 but be sure to get an adjustable regulator.

It all depends on the boost that you plan on running with your 14b.. If you plan on turning it up then you will need some more stuff (Like injectors/afc) but if your just gonna be running 10-15lbs you shouldnt need to upgrade anything.. Atleast not till you go with a bigger turbo and more boost.. But its always nice to plan for the future

I have the 190lb Pump on my GST and I was running 18lbs with a 20G turbo and had no problem keeping up with the rest of the setup.. But the price difference isnt an issue, so might as well go with the 255..

well when i get my Evo 3 16g next summer i plan on running around 18-20 psi. Then i know ill need injectors and safc w/ a fuel pump. As for now i plan on running the 14b around 16-17psi. If i do end up going with the Walbro 255, I know im going to need a AFPR but am i going to need a AFC to control it?

your not gonna need any more fuel or anything. The 14b really isnt much of an upgrade over the t25. And you really dont need the 255 with the 16g. The 190 will do fine

The price on the two is comparable, Jon, why doesnt he just get the 255 in case he wants to upgrade the turbo yet again some day?

yes you can

thats why because it gives what he needs and will be easier to tune on a 16g

I agree with not needing the 255... If you have the possibility of going bigger later on is the only reason I would go with it, but Im running the 190 on a 20g and havnt outgrown it... So if your only looking at going with a 16g You dont need bigger.. And the SAFC is really for tuning bigger injectors, not the fuel pump..
