So why would the 2g torque converter not work in the 1g tranny.
I test fitted the 2g torque converter in the 1g tranny and it fit perfectly.

Yup it was in all the way. It was level with the bell housing just like when it fits in the 2g tranny

I might have it backwards, I think its the 1g converter that dosent fit in the 2g trans.
