Default 2.0 or 2.3? is it worth it?

OK, i AM planning on getting that 90 GSX w/ the 20g on it pushing 350whp as a dd as soon as i sell my Del Sol. BUT also still pan on building the 2gb gsx that i want on the side. SO to my question. i understand the benefts of having a Stroker motor = faster spool up. but is 400-500rpm's of faster spool worth the extra 1k? CI Motrosports has a 2.3l stroker that wills uport over 800whp for 3649.99 (4048 with the lightened and ballanced crank which i want) or i can get a built 2.0 from CI for 2674 and that is with the lightened and balanced crank... so to all of you vets out there, do you really think its worth it? also would you rather go w/ CI Motorsports 2.0 short block (http://www.ci-motorsports.net/store/...103&page=1) or Buschar's short block (https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...roducts_id=150) it does not come w/ the lightened and balanced crank but it is a better known name. I'm gonna start piecing this thing together in the next month or so so i'm just trying to get ready. thanks guys.

I am no pro.. but aren't there some downsides to stroking your motor. Like how you can't rev as high as u could before.

For a street car, stroke it.
For a race car, 2.0L.

I take my 2.4L to 8500 rpm without any problems.

It's a 2.4 with cams on the outside so I'm sure he's got cams, lifters, and doubled springs under the valve cover. 8500 is high for a stock head though

as long as its balanced a stroker will turn 9000 all day long, how else do you think we turn a 418 small block V8 to 9500 and not worry
my stock NEON, stock rods, pistons , and crank handled twisting up to 7800 RPM and bouncing off the rev limiter every lap circle track racing for 2 seasons before it finally blew up. i had it balanced.
balance is the key.

i dont think its worth and extra $1000

Or you could go with magnus's motor... I think there theory on price is $1,000 for every 100 RPMS is can handle... Its built to handle 11,000 rpms

But if you do the math.. There asking $11,000 just for the motor []

Id like to help ya out... But im still thinkin about this also. Im leaning towards just buidling the 2.0 and not stroking it..

i think a bucsher stage 1 is plenty for the street.
if you really look its not much other than a stock engine withquality machine work and balance.
unless you plan on ALOT of power you can get away with a basic bottom end if you have the right machinist near by.
a stage 2 they just add forged pistons Vs the cast in the stage 1.

I dont get why the balancing is so important in a 4 cylinder motor.. I can see a V-8 or a V-6... But why the 4 cylinder?
