yeah man, I'm in the army, so i work all day long, then i have 2 kids and my wife requires me to spend a little time with them when i'm home....so, i only have time from when they go to bed until i have to report to work in the morning. weekends are a little different, but i have to do the family thing during the day as well. I hate working on it so late because sometimes i forget to do stuff... like rtv the half moon on the valve cover... then i had to pull it again and put it together the right way haha..

Got the new engine in the car finally. My garage is way too small for this gigantic cherry picker.... stripped on of the flywheel bolts trying to get it off (used to much threadlock).. so i had to order some new ones and wait on them to put the tranny back in... Other than that. I'm still waiting on the fluidampr and I need to get an oil cooler then she should be back on the road

haha whats up man. Yeah it took a lot of parts to get it back to its former glory. I still have to clean off the front part and clean the tranny before I put everything back together, but at least its sitting in the engine bay now.

put the tranny in last night. Power steering pump and alternator are mounted with new ralco rz pulleys (same on the waterpump). Belts are mounted by way of the fluidampr harmonic balancer. I lost motivation last night so thats about it haha. Oh and in case anyone does the same thing. My gallon milk jugs of oil decided to explode. Makes an amazing mess haha

Passenger side axle is back on as well as the radiator fans, exhaust manifold, new battery cables, etc. I installed the dsmlink chip, laptop mount, and relocated my gauges to the center vent so i can put a roll cage in eventually. I really F'ed up the gauge pod trying to cut a bigger hole for the 60mm EGT gauge though. Fun fun. How the h-e-double hockey stick do you replace the inner tie rods. I know the general idea, but the boot clips seem to be the ones that you have to cut off and buy new ones. I really don't want to spend more money haha.

Yeap your gonna have to cut the clamps to pull the boot off then you'll need a special tool to take the inner tie rods out. If you want to save $$$ when your done just reassemble the boot and use zip ties.

Thanks brother. I'll definately look into it. The craft shop on post may have the special tool, so when this is all done I might just swap the tie rods down there and then get it aligned. I'm trying to do some preventative maintenance as well, but I gotta tell you, 11 pennsylvania winters have really allowed some of these bolts to seize. Oh well. I got the turbo on with the oil lines run, put the intercooler piping and intake pipe back on... had to remount the master cylinder resevoir because the intake manifold is too massive for it to fit in its usual spot. Searched for the cause of my draining batteries. I found it to be the stock alternator to battery wire, but I'm f'in baffled by how it could be grounding out. I traced the whole thing and there are no spots where it could touched bare... or even painted metal for that matter. I don't need it anymore, but its just weird.
