i think you should just try to find an ecipse that's hole that has a blown motor... buying a shell without any axels, engine, trani, seats, interior etc etc becomes a major pain trying to put back together one piece at a time and becomes quite costly quite quickly.

 

well he says he'll give me the whole thing for 1800 so i might just go with it...the only prob is shipping which im sure i'll figure out if i can come up with the money to get it...ya know...lol and to be honest with you ive been searching for like a few weeks for a gst with a blown engine and what not but i just cant find one anywhere...its like impossible lol

 

there was a guy with a blown gsx on autotrader (crankwalked) but he was asking 5200 for it, i told him i'd give him 2k for it... he basically told me to shove it and then i returned with a not so nice message... but ANYWAYS... what will you be gettting along with the shell from agallardo? i know he had a 16g w/ supporting mods done... if he's giving you all that crap for 1800 just has the blown motor i'd say go for it. where are you located and where is he located? car shipping goes something like this:
>300miles - $500 or less
300-700 miles - $600
700-1000 miles - $700
1000-1700 miles - $800
1700-2100 miles - $900
2100 + miles - 1000+
that's what i came up with last year when i was looking at getting a GSX shipped down to me. but you may find better prices...

 

its comes with everything that a stock gst comes with exept engine and i think trans and it wont have any exhaust...what do you think...1800 a good deal...

 

sounds like a decent deal to me... i'd prolly try to talk him down to 1500-1600 but i would probably still take it if it was offered to me firm.

 

yeah im really thinking about doing it...the only thing that might change my mind is on that site you sent me a guy posted about a 96 gst shell the other day for like 8 or 850 or something like that...im gonna check out his shell too and see what happens...but i'll most likely go with agallardo's shell it looks good to me...

 

hey is there any hp difference between the older 6bolts and the 7bolts...

 

the 1st gen eclipse's came with 195hp and the 2nd gens came with 210. now the 6 bolt came int eh 89-92.5 and from 92.5-94 were the 7 bolt and came with the same hp rating. there is no power difference except for the way that the 1st and 2nd gens came set up.
