2g turbo question
I was told that if you plug the 2 ends of the pipe leading from the turbo into the intake, it may increase you boosta LITTLE, and give you a louder blow off.Is this true?<IMG src=uploads/Pinser555/8377B_Engine.JPG border="0"></P><edited><editID>Pinser555</editID><editDate>38040.5143981481</editDate></edited>

that would be your BOV recirculation. its good to not have if you are running any mods, cause when your BOV expells the pressurized air back to your intake, your computer will go "WTF??" cause it just got this huge shot of cold condensed air and its not used to it. best bet would be a boost controller and gauge. CHEAP. turboXS manual boost controller, you can pick one up for around 80 and guages go anywhere from 40-250+ depending on brand preference. as far as more boost... I think MORE steady boost is a yes. and your BOV will release to atmosphere and sound a lot louder

I didn't have a prob with mine, but I did upgrade soon after to HKS SS and new innercooler pipe. that was about $500 brand new. but it sounds NICE. otherwise, find a 1st gen BOV. I know a lot of 2nd gen owners running them. they hold pressure better.

Yeah, burntgsx is right, do not disconnect this. Back in the day, a lot of people used to try this mod and didn't have good results(in a stock car). At wot the car will run fine, but if you let off the throttle too quickly, the car will stall out. Some people thought that they could just let off the throttle easy and avoid this problem, but it will sometimes just stall outeven then. The best way to vent to the atm is to eliminate the maf sensor and run a map like a vpc. But that costs a lotta money. Not worth it just to get a better sound.
