I hate to say hes right, but he is. I just think it would be a more... 'interesting' project using a 50 trim. Unnecessary, yes, but interesting.

So if I decide to go with a 20g and I'm hoping to reach up to 400hp, is it pushing the turbo its limits or would it be cake for it to reach my HP goal?

I see, thanks Sebba. 50 trim is my decision then. I may need a 2nd job to keep up with all the mods. Expensive but I find it worth it.

Yeah... but your FWD.

Since you have such a love for your car Soul..... you ever thought of doing an AWD conversion? I mean, you would obviously be dedicated to it because of what the car means to you. Think its something you would take on?

A 20g is rated at 450hp. It is capable of producing 400hp with a good tune. I still say if he wants the best bet for his money then go with a 20g. Its the cheaper way to go. Cuz you dont need a new manifold with the 20g or an o2housing or piping. Its up to you though. I will say that the 50 trim is a great turbo if you want up to 500hp or alittle more. And it is a great street turbo. But the way you were talking about wanting to get the HP without spending alot, the 20g is gonna be your best bet. Or if you want that little bit of flexible range that sebba was talking about without the money once again, then check out the FP green which is also a bolt on turbo. Once again this a good money saver option. If you see yourself in the future wanting to build your car around a garrett t3/t4 type turbo and dont mind spending the money now then by all means go for the 50 trim, but just know that there are other options

Ive got a 50trim on mine Seb, with FWD... I never noticed too much of an issue. 'Cept for the wheel hop... which... could have been worse.
