mike is right in that the fp green is a 20g with the turbine housing. But it using the same t4 compressor housing as the 50 trim right? At least thats what i got out of it. Instead of using the mitsu compressor housing. I was only telling him to use the 20g or fp green as a convienence of bolt on. But i agree that the 50 trim (t3/t4) is the better of the two. It really just comes down to cost.

Hey that's good info TheEngineer! Would it be dumb to do a 20g 1st then swap it to a 50 trim next after taxes? I am leaning towards the 50 trim because it just seems like i would be "less stress" on the turbo itself to achieve my HP goal. If have to spend big bucks on a turbo now and wait a couple more months on the supporting mods, I'll do it then just so the engine is done up right.
Although the bolt on 20g sounds A LOT less work and money and I get to squeeze extra ponies out of it, that just sounds tempting too. Plus less down time too......lots of thinking to do over this weekend!

well here is the thing. With the 50trim you need all the extra stuff to get it to bolt on. So i dont think its worth it to buy the 20g if you plan on getting a 50 trim down the road. But as you know both are gonna require the supporting mods such as fuel and tuning to get them to run the HP your talking about. And also remember that the stock internals really shouldnt be pushed past 450hp...500 max. And a 50 trim is gonna cost about the same as a 20g (just for the turbo) so that really isnt the factor, its just the extra stuff. If you feel the 50trim will be your final goal then dont waste time with the 20g. But if you feel the 20g will handle it (or maybe the FP green) then do that now. And you can run the bigger turbo without some of the supporting mods, but you wont be able to run high boost beacuse of the fuel system.

The hybrid with a .50 is what Im running in my Talon... Im not certain... but theres a lot under the hood (particurly near the exhaust manifold) than is way diff. than other 4g63s Ive seen... whereas, a 20g hooks right up.
