4g63 cyclone engine

RE: 4g63 cyclone engine
The JDM Cyclone engines made anywhere from 200-250hp, depending on the vehicle. Just about most of them will be from Galant VR-4's, and then Lancer GSR's(not the Evo's). You can tell the engines apart from the color injectors they have and what turbo they carry. I'ts been said that you cannot easily swap in a complete Cyclone Engine into a 2g, but what's been said and what's been done are 2 different things. There is no real difference in the US 4g63 and Japanese 4g63 except for a slightly higher comp ratio and a different intake system(and different OEM turbos sometimes). The Cyclone Intake system consists of dual runner intakes of unequal length for each cylinder. At different engine speeds, the computer determines whether to use a short runner or the longer runner for better engine response. If you are worried about flow or reliability, go to a 1g engine. If you want a low-mileage engine that will last, simply get the JDM engine, but be aware you may not be able to use the Cyclone system due to engine bay restristions and ECU/electrical differences.
