4g64 - 4g63
Hey guys, just trying to boaden my knowlege a little more and was curious. The 4g64 and 4g63 are relatively the same engine other than the 64 being a 2.4 instad of 2.0... could you swap a 4g63t into a 2g spyder? i don't think this topic has ever been brought up and i'm just curious.

RE: 4g64 - 4g63
OK let me get in here since I have owned both engines.
The 2G spyder yes it can swap the GST motor in and it can also swap AWD drivetrain in as far as I know Its been done a few times unless they were GSt Spyders swapping in drivetrain, but I always understood it as 4G64 cars since the spyder from what I have seen has the same frame as the GSX due to needing to be stiffend up and reinforced. The only main difference is the crank. Alot of guy actually use a 4g64 crank to stroke their motors. The 3G GS\RS is also a 4g64 but it is single cam and faces opposite the 2G DSM motor. HOWEVER people can swap the Evo head in and it has been done a few times. There is no poit swapping the block your better off for your money to build the bottom end of the 4g64 3G motor and turbo the car so you have a built stroked motor it is really no different from stroking an Evo motor if you swap the Evo head onto the 3g and the power gains end up becoming similar to an Evo minus the traction help of AWD
