95 Eclipse GS stalling
Hey
I am having some problems with an eclipse 95 GS that I just bought (nothing custom on it). When I was test driving it I noticed that it would stall when I stopped at red lights or stop signs. I brought it to a mechanic for inspection who said it was most likely the idle air valve that needed to be replaced. So I bought the car. I gave it to him to get it fixed but he spent several days on it trying to fix it, changed the valve but it's still not working (though he gave it back to me saying everything was fine now).
So here's the problem:
- When I slow down to stop the check engine light gets on and the car stalls. Doesnt happen all the time.
- When I drive on the freeway at 65mph, rpm~2000 the same thing happens.. check engine light gets on and the engine feels like stalling
Im going to go back see the mechanic but I would really appreciate if someone could tell me what's going on
Thanks

Try scanning it to see if there are any codes. The cel and other lights should come on b/c the car is abt to stall or does stall which is normal.
You might just have to adjust the idle a little higher so it doesnt stall out on you.
