Hello

Wondering if anyone can offer any assistance. I have a 2000 Eclipse GT 24 Valve that I bought in 2005. The car had 48,000 miles when I bought it and currently has 240,000 miles. Most of the miles come from my 600 mile a week commute.

Somewhere around 175,000 the car kept stalling. I had a buddy look at it. He replaced half the plugs, but due to time restraints he could not replace the other half since it required removal of the exhaust manifold. He also removed and re-installed the MAF sensor and believes this made a difference. The car was fine up until last week. I had a new battery installed and ever since then the car idles rough and stalls like crazy. Can't make it around the block.

Need to know if this is indeed the other three plugs that need replacing or if there is another issue I should be chasing. Any help would be appreciated.

 

plugs generally get replaced as a set. Do all of them, then reset your ecu and try again.

 

Unplug the maf and see if that changes things.
