95 Eclipse wipermotor will not work in rain

1995 Eclipse. The front windshield wiper motor will not work when it is raining. Seems to be intermittent. If dry for a few days it is ok. I know this must be electrical but is this maybe a common issue???

Check the connector at the wiper motor for any water damage.
