I have a 96 Eclipse GST with no engine. I recently bought a 4g63 6 bolt engine and am patiently awaiting my haynes manual to rebuild it myself (1 time lol). This is probably a stupid question but when I am buying parts for the car do I need to buy 1g or 2g or does it really matter? The parts I am needing to buy are the distributor, altornator, headers, clutch and turbo kit. Also will the tranny be plug and play or do I need to find a 6 bolt one? Thanks alot.

The trans will bolt up to the 6 bolt. When ordering engine parts like pistons, rods, bearings, flywheel, ect look for 6 bolt. All the turbo clutches are the same 1g and 2g. Alternator you'll want from a 2g and the exhaust manifold (header) 1g and 2g will all bolt up.
