Hi, I have a 96 RS with about 90K miles on it. Recently I went on vacation and when I came back and tried to start her up she turned over well for a second, then died off. After much fighting I pulled a code 12 and 55 out of the computer. I can't find either of them in my manual. However, I did yank my IAC and test it and both coils are shorted out. Could this have caused the fault codes and my inability to start the car? This is my first eclipse and I really miss driving it instead of my truck. Also, if my PCM is bad, how much would that cost me? I can't find one anywhere where I live.

 

CODE 55: Idle air control (IAC) valve position sensor fault. id guess that to be it.
