97 eclipse gs ecm location

it is a non turbo and im looking for the computer that is under the dash. my car cuts out at random times then turns back on im getting fuel but its like all of a sudden no spark. so i think it might be the computer. any help would be awesome thaks

Lol, why do you and Sebba say the glovebox, lol. The heater core and fan are behind the glovebox. The ABS ECU is on the floor board, right under where you would set your feet (on the passenger side).
The motor's ECU is behind the radio. Pull the kick panel (the one that your right foot hits or rests on...mine does anyway, lol, that would be the gas pedal foot, btw) You should see the ECU bolted on the bracket right behind the radio.
All my manuals show the non-turbo models behind the radio, the turbo models too. The 95 N/T (perhaps 96's also, I don't remember anymore) cars are the only ones with the ECU in the engine bay along with the TCU.

I thought he was talking bout the motors ECU. Every Mitsu I have ever owned it has been behind the glove box. held in buy 4 screws after you pull of the box draw. I did SAFC install on all 3 mitsus I ave had and thats were they were on mine so I figured the older years would be the same

thats wierd because i have pulled out my console stereo kick panelsand all those brackets and cannot find it coud someone show me a diagram or picture of where it exactly is. i pulled a location up for it at work (autozone) but i cannot find it. ill take a look behind the glove box just to make sure
