Default 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GST - 5 Speed

I recently purchased a Eclipse that has sat up for over 4 years without running.
The car itself has been an on going project and I'm trying to restore it as best as possible.
To bring you up to date:
So Far I have replaced:
The Fuel pump
The Battery
Clutch Master Cylinder
Slave Cylinder
I have had a clutch kit put on
New Spark Plugs - NGK Indium tips
New Spark plug wires, Bosch
Complete Fluid Change (Oil, Transmission Fluid, Coolant, Ect ect)
Side note:
The battery has probably been dead for over 2 years
The timing belt has probably never been replaced
The car has 160k Miles on it

I have the car in the dealership now being worked on, I'm having the clutch kit checked out and I'm having 2 Axel seals put on that the person who was working on my clutch failed to replace, causing my car to leak transmission fluid.
Now to the fun part,
My problem:
My Check engine light is on and the error code is random mis-fire.
When The car runs, you can sense this a little bit if you have been around cars for a while, but it's pretty minor.
When the car is in motion and you are trying to get up to speed, the car does not react to the accelerator being pressed down far. When trying to get up to speed on the interstate, you have to bottom out the accelerator and it takes forever to get up to 3000 RPMs. The Air flow gauge is maxed out while the accelerator is pressed.
The car does have a stock turbo in it. (For reference)
And there are no modifications to the motor.
As a side point, which might be related:
When the car is sitting idle, it run fairly smooth
But when the AC is turned on, the car begins to idle very hard, the RPMs drop a little and the whole car begins to shake.
Once the AC is turned off, The car returns to normal.
When driving on the road, the car will drop in RPMs slightly if the AC is turned on but there is no shaking, but once you stop the car does begin to shake.
__________________________

If anyone has any suggestions, I would be appreciative.
The dealership wants to to a Idle relearn and a compression check, but at this moment, I don't want to spend the 200 dollars extra till the clutch and seals are taken care of.
Thanks,
Joe

Check to see if the spark plug wires are all in the correct order this could cause the rough idle and misfire. and the A/C compressor might be dead i had that problem with my 1997 eclipse too .

I took another look at it today to get an better idea,

I checked the wires and everything looks to be hooked up correctly and the plugs are getting fire. I'm not sure but a friend mentioned to check the resistance on the coil so I'm going to try this in the next couple of days.

As another update if it helps any, the AC blows just fine and it's colder than my Honda's AC. But one thing I noticed today is the belts on basically the entire car needs to be replaced. I'm not sure but could the belts be causing such a rough idle when the AC is on?

Thanks,

Joe

oh hmm well check how big the spark is on the plugs and or get an obd reader to see what it says is wrong and as for the A/C the belt might be slipping and because when you turn the a/c on it creates more resistance it might be making it idle roughly

You said the airflow gauge is maaxxed out, do you mean the air/fuel ratio gauge is reading lean? If youre not getting enough fuel to compensate for the air and give the proper mix, I would check the fuel filters and the fuel injectors. If the guel injectors are clogged youll get less than appropriate fuel and run lean.
As fa as the spark plug wires goes, if the wires were in the wrong spots I doubt the car would turn over, speaking from experience. That happened in my mazda, previous owner messed up the order and I didnt realize it. Kept tryin and tryin to turn it, and nothin. When the spark and the fuel are in different chambers, nothins gonna ignite.

So yea I would check the fuel filters and injectors. And tend to the belts too if they need replacing anyways.
