98 Stock spoiler swap out with a GS-T high rise spoiler?
I just bought a 98GS-T and it has the stock spoiler ( smaller one ). I'm wanting to put the high rise GS-T spoiler on it. Do the holes match up? If notdoes the new spoilercover them? I'm not wanting to weld the holes shut and drill new ones. I'd sooner get a new trunk lid.

if you have a 98 and it is a GST... you should have the high turbo spoiler, hence the name. unles somebody did a 420a-4g63 swap you are mistaken on the year, or perhaps typed it wrong. and yes the holes match up from the small one to the turbo one.

Well its not neccessarily true about having the turbo wing on the GST. I have a 95 GST with the small spoiler too. Not all GST's come with the turbo wing.
Anyway, about the spoiler matching up, not sure about the holes, but since you have the small spoiler on and are wanting to switch it to the turbo wing. You will also have holes in the middle of your trunk because your small spoiler has a "middle section" where it also bolts up to the trunk. That "middle section" is where your "backup" light wiring goes through because I believe you have a light on your spoiler too. I have the same thing. So when doing the swap dont forget you will have holes in the middle of your trunk... It should be noticable.

yes, it is true. the 95 and 96 are refered to as 2gA and 97, 98 and 99 are refered to as 2gB the front facia and rear fascia were changed, the gs, gst and gsx now have side skirts. the gst's and gsx's now have the high turbo spoiler. and the 99 gs has the turbo spoiler. that is whyi told him that either the year or model was wrong. if it DOES have the 4g63t in it, but has a low spoiler than its a 95 or 96 OR if it is a 97-99 some idiot changed from the tubo spoiler to the low one (loss in money).

RC is correct, the 2GBs were the ones that came with the bigger spoiler....but what's the point of swapping them out? Performance or looks?
GS-T - 16" Alloy 5 spoke wheels (chromed after 1997), Grey painted panel around lower body paneling (1995–96), larger spoiler (ONLY on 1997–99)
