99 eclipse no start
Hi we have a 99 eclipse, 2.0 non-turbo, just put a rebuilt engine in it but it has no spark. Checked voltage to cam sensor and crank sensor, they are low, does that sound like a PCM problem? Any ideas are appreciated!
It has no spark where?? Just at the plugs or at the distributor or the coil? If you have no spark why are you looking at sensors?? If the sensors were bad it MIGHT cause no spark but I'd be checking the obvious first being the ignition system rather than looking at the obscure areas of sensors. Those aren't NEARLY as likely to go bad as something like a distributor cap or rotor.
Oh yeah LOL sorry forgot these are distributorles systems (I'm bustin my brain trying to figure out an '82 BMW that doesn't want to play). In that case I'd suggest looking at a wiring schematic and flipping through either a Chilton's or a manufacturer's repair manual to get the voltage specs on a few things and see where the sensors actually go. I thought that cam and crank pos sensors actually ran right to the ECO not the PCM. I could be wrong but that was my impression.
