There is no such recall! if you are referring to the crank shaft position sensor relocatin recall, that only involves the 2001 Eclipse and Galants with the 2.4L engine. Aside from that, the only other item i can think of that involved having to purchase a different harness for is the coil pack. The older 420A coilpacks vs the newer (i believe 97-99) coilpacks had a different harness plug. If you replaced the coilpack in the older 420's, you'd have to solder the newer connector onto the existing harness. Even with that- that IS NOT a recall (though there might be a TSB on this).

No the recall was on the Camshaft Postion Sensor. Came with a new harness and the sensor they are sold seperatly. "i had a 95gs" was told the part was recalled that is why the harness came with it the connection to the sensor from the harness was differant compired to the old on that is why the harness needed to be bought. This part was recalled now if it is only for 95 i dont it fixed 75% of the problems that he explained than. later took it in so they could dignose the problem crank sensor was replaced dieing was delayed but still did it i told them it was the pcm they would not listem they said it was the head had bad valve guides and it was messing with the sensors they had my car for 1 month trying to figure out what the problem was becuse the mitsu mchanich was a freaking tard. rebuilt motor and took it back becuse the car would die like he explained took it there they stared throwing parts at it once more and in the end another month down the road guess what it was the pcm i got the part for free becuse they **** up when i told them what the prob was and the insisted it was not. i have lost a lot of respect for mitsu dealer mchanichs sence then prob just a bad exsperance but still i was out a car for 3 months when i told them what the problem was and they would not listen.

ya 2g nt dosent have a call back or tbs for that problem... that site is purely a tech site, if something like that did happen the call back list would have been updated asap. FYI the 95 ecu is the most unreliable ecu in a 2g nt.

Well then it would seem the solution is simple. replace the sensor. If you read the previous posts the sensor replacement was mentioned in there BEFORE the talk of the recall.

I'll say it again... bad sensor. Go to autozone or *** boys and get the sensor, go home plug it in.
