RE: 99 Spyder Garage Remote
It's easy, dont u have hte owners manual, well u jus thold the 2 outside buttons down for 20 sec, or something, the light will stop blinking, and then let off and choose which button u want for the garage door opener and hold it down, and hold the garage door opener on the sensor for like 5 sec, and thats it

nate is rite pretty much, but i will try to hlep and clarify, cuz i got a 98 gst spyder myself and did my garage door opener myself..u hold down the 2 outside buttons to erase previous memory, then u click on the training button on the back of your garage door opener reciever, (its usually a white square button), once u push that in, a light goes on on the reciever, tha tmeans its in training mode. then u have your car parked close and u push and hold which ever button u want on the visor.. u hold it till the garage door opener reciever starts blinking. then its set...

RE: 99 Spyder Garage Remote
Ok I have a 97 eclipse spyder with the 3 button arrangement, I held the 2 outside buttons down to clear the memory, but after that I have no clue how to set the opener up. I can't find any kind of training mode and the only white button i found was a "lock" button. If anyone can help me out with this that would be great!
Thanks

You'll find instructions for programming the Homelink buttons at the following site:
http://www.homelink.com/training/train.taf
I'd recommend putting new batteries in your existing remote first. I couldn't get the Homelink visor buttons programmed until I installed fresh batteries, even though I was following the instructions perfectly and the lights were blinking accordingly.
Once it's programmed, you'll love it. No more clunky looking remote attached to the visor. I like having my old remote as a spare opener, too.
