Default ABS problems

After driving for a few minutes,my abs system stops functioning and the warninglight lights. Been to the local mitsubishi dealer, but they are not very helpful, since the eclipse is never sold in Norway and they don`t seem to know a dammn **** about the car..........The connections to the brakes seems to be ok,but where is the rest of the system located? I guess there must be a relay for the abs system somewhere......?

It could be a lot of thihngs. Unfortunatly with a problem like that you have to have a wiring diagram and be good with a DMM. I would double check the connections at the wheels, they may be exposed soomewhere and shorting from moisture or the connection could be loose. Also unplug them and check for rust. The other thing you could do is check the ECU for any codes, that may be easiest. The relay for that is usually in the trunk or right under the hood. Good Luck!

Have had my ecu checked at local Mitsubishi dealer. They found an error code, but didn`t seem to hav a clue what it was about. The Eclipse has never been sold in Norway and they don`t have any data about it.[:@]

Or try calling a dealership in the US, see if they might talk to you about it if you can't find it online.
