okay so my power steering started acting up when the warm weather got here.... it sqeaked and was hard to turn at certain times....i checked my power steering fluid...it was low so i went got some fluid and it stopped but then it came back....well i was driving yesterday and had my AC on well i was in the middle of a turn when it sqeaked and gave me problems...i turned the AC off and it stopped....wtf??? i also noticed that the button for the colder AC was flashing........[>:]

 

Sounds to me like you need new belts.

same thing happened to me, definitely a belt problem, real cheap and easy to fix...if your runnin a 420athen there is another belt on the bottom which i believe is the alternator belt... i could be mistaken cause it was a while ago that i did this... but you'll need to remove the power steering belt to get to that one, so i just replaced the two at the same time to save time later on... both cheap, and from start to finish i think it might have taken me between and hour to two hours, pretty easy... hope that helped!

 

has anyone put a a/c belt on a 4g63 before, i need one, i haven't had one since i bought the car last year.
