Default Air flow sensor

I just bought an 98 Eclipse GST and the man I bought it from said that the air flow sensor needed to be replaced. I replaced it today and it still seems to be a problem. It cuts off and doesnt seem to be getting the power to go that it needs. Any idea of what the problem could be? terri

i would change the plugs and wires and see if that does it, if not then go and get a compression test on it.

advice for the future. dont believe the guy whos trying to sell u a car, pay the $100 an take it to a mechanic to get it checked out. Now you have a headache, and you have no idea whether he was lying about that or not, he may have been blaming a huge problem on "just needing a new MAS"
