i'm building a 420a. no turbo. how strong is the factory crank. i'll be runnin wiseco 88.5mm pistons, 10.5-1 compression. eagle h-beam rods. not decided on head work and cams

 

Not to try and tell you not to do it. But its a waste of money. Your gonna end up spending alot of money and in the end you wont even be able to beat a stock turbo eclipse. So what do you gain?

Im just going to reinforce that. Seriously dude.. unless you really dont care if its slow when its done... then dont do it. Waste of money and it will never be fast ... even with a turbo kit they still arent that fast.

My advice = Sell it .. and buya GSX.

There is just no real way to make power from it... without turbo.. and even with it.. it still is slow lol

why dont you quad turbo it while your at it...lol the 420a can have potential when boosted but certainly not naturally aspirated.. Even boosted 420a's might hit 150-160whp.

 

I dont think it would spool until redline lol

 

420a's boosted can hit over 200whp

But not boosted your looking at not even 150hp

 

I assumed he was asking about n/a hp.

I was refering to davidmitsu's comment. And you probably can get that 150HP but it would require stroking it to like a 2.2
