What's stopping you from going turbo on your motor especially since you already have plans to replace the internals??

 

QEUSTION! does any one have any links or pics of the fastes 420a powered dsm? im curious...couse i know they have potential but im not sure just how much...ah and my neighbor used to have a turbo 420a...ran like crap, he how has a 450awhp gsx

 

I think they recently just ran the first 420a DSM in the 10s not ong ago... not so sure that is good potencial though it only took 10 years. and it still was unreliable thehead gaskets are never good in those cars

 

LOL it took the 3/s 16 years to get into the 9's...could be worse. anyhow links? pics? vids?

 

i just figued i could get better than that out of it. i had a guy port and polish the head when i had it off one time and it made a good bit of difference.

 

I know there's alot of fast turbo 420A's in (hope you guys don't mind me saying this) the 2gnt forum. Plus there's a good DIY budget turbo installation guide.

 

Wheres slow420a when you need him... He could tell ya what exactly to expect out of that motor..

 

My Eclipse is not going to be fast, and I acknowledge that.
But i'll do simple little mods (Intake, strut bar, ignition upgrade, header & exhaust, and a few other things for ****s and giggles), but when its all said and done, I just want to make the car look good.
Then i'll build a helluva box and put a few speakers in it. Thinking of removing the rear seats and making a box in its place that will house two 12's and an amp.
Give it a good paint job (thinking ford racing blue), and then i'm done.

I'm already started on that by buying those rims from Agallardo. Driving 9hrs to pick them up, lol.

 

ok. here's what my complete setup is gonna be. you tell me what you think. bored .040 over, 10.5-1 compression. eagle h-beam rods. port and polished head, manly custom valves, titanium valve springs set, crane cams, 100 shot direct port nitrous, venom intake(all ported and polished to match) unorthodox fermic 6 paddle clutch. then all the little stuff to go along with it like adjustable cam gears and msd retard box.

 

he could get 140, if he raised compression, had super huge cams, quad throttle boddies, bored it out to god only knows what, stroked it, and then begged for help from god.
on the other hand, he could just drop in a 4g, save alot of money, and call it a day
