so i was driving.. and all of a sudden my car dies.. all my electronics go off and i have to roll it to the side of the road. I figure it's the alternator... battery was good. Drop a new one in. starts right up. Well i was test driving it. and it does it again. and now i have to jump it every time i want to drive it. Any ideas?

 

your battery needs to be replaced. My guess is that you had a short forst of all and that killed the battery and the alt and now your battery will not accept charge.

I would try and find what caused it. Usually a high ampage fuse blows causing a surge of power and killing multiple components along the way. Did you by any chance blow a fuse at the time this happened?
