white silicone grease quiets the belt up most effectively
I dont think greasing a slipping belt is gonna help much. If they squeak its one thing, but slipping squeal is another.

Slipping belt would obviously need either
A. adjusting of the pully tension on the belt.
or
B. Check for worn out pulleys that could be causing the belt to jump.

My moms Cavalier had that problem and the spring tensioner was jumping causing the belt to off and on lose tension.

i get a horrible sqeeking noise in my belts only when i turn and run it in the cold. will this help my car too. (im talking about my beater car by the way, a 93 or something geo prizm, rusted to hell with no exhaust what so ever) i dont care about the car at all, bought it for cheap just to mess around and i go off roading and love messing it up, but it would be nice if that sqeek did dissapear.

NOT a good idea. This will cause the belt to start SLIPPING and then the accessory it drives won't be WORKING properly.

Yeah you can usually do it by tightening the one bolt but it's difficult as your fighting the holding power of the other 2. Besides I believe in doing things right the first time lol.
