Default AWD MT fluid change

Well I've read the vfaqs on the fluid change for the MT transmission for an AWD eclipse and what I read didn't mention anything about replacing the washer for the drain plug bolt as a requirement. But the nice neighbor of mind who is willing to do it for free is telling me I do. What do you guys say.

I wouldnt think it would matter either way, except for if you actually see damage to the old one.
But what the hell, replace it anyway.

Always, always, always, always, always replace bushings, washers or anything of the sort...better safe than sorry...and for a FEW CENTS, it's no brainer...The crushable copper ones work really nice and seal well.
