wat is NOX
Oxides of nitrogen.

the main ingredient in the creation of photochemical smog. so disabling an EGR help people create THIS

yea, we all know about it but nobody does anything about it. instead we are talking about how to put on bigger turbo's to make our air even worse lol

so, okay one last question when a person, like "RCjr" I have an egr block off valve, does that mean he had one on his car and put an aftermarket one on or does it mean he didn't have one at all and decided to put one on. Basicaly does a block off plate (valve) come with every car or do yo have to install one.

It's something you install. Doing so removes the EGR from the equation. You'll also have to remove the vacuum line(s) going into the EGR system or you will have an hg (vacuum lingo) leak.

so simply put:

block off plate, no recirculate exhasut into atmosphere
and block off valve, recirculate NOX into air and get icture above /\^/\

i'm so confused [&:][:'(]

No...

Block off plate is what goes in place of where the EGR would normally recirculate exhaust gases back into the engine. So simply put

block off plate = no EGR valve

not sure where you got that but of info, but Im afraid high combustion temps do not in fact make your engine more efficient. All that does is cause detonation, and eventually melted pistons.
I am not trying to carry on an argument here, but this is an extremely basic concept. High compression = highcombustion temps= more work per stroke performed by your motor. Its the whole idea behind why honda motors are so efficient, and also why they have a harder time passing the NOx portion of the smog test, lots of the older ones fail, they dont even have EGRs.Diesel motors, same idea, extremely high compression, like 20:1, extremely high heat, very efficient.

oooooo ok I am satisfied now and I think I won't even touch the valve now. Just leave it alone.
