i have recently bought a manual boost controller which didnt come with very good instructions and i was wondering if there is anybody who can tell me how more clearly.

on my turbo i dont see a vacume hose coming off of it. only on the wastegate. there is one on the tube that connects to the turbo, which goes to the intercooler.

 

that must be it then

 

Thanks for posting the pics. On the same topic; what would be a good mbc to purchase? I'm new to this site and new to the car. I plan on purchasing an eclipse soon and want to make sure everything I do is done correctly. So any testimonials to MBC's? Thanks for any input

 

I have a cheap MBC it works fine, there is no need to buy an expensive one really when a $40 works great. only thing about MBC vs EBC is the boost levels change with temp outside. When its 80 I only hit 17/18PSI but when it hits below 60 I fuel cut if I dont tune for it a little. for example 2 days ago I was running 20.5PSI all day long it was about 65-70 degrees out then this morning it was 39 and I hit around 23/24PSI and would have hit fuel cut if I didnt notice and that is too high I cant even tune for that yet. so basically a MBC you need to get out of the car and adjust a few times a week sometimes.

 

hey guys sorry to bring this up. Its kinda old, but I have one question. I think I have my MBC connected wrong. Anyway, I was wandering... there is a hose coming off my wastegate that goes straight to the wastegate solenoid. If I do the setup in the pic BELOW (click on link) what do i do about the hose connected to the wastegate solenoid?

emonz... in the last pic you posted it shows one line to the mbc with the wastegate and turbo together then what would connect to the other part of the mbc????
