Boost Gauge
Hey, Ive recently bought a '97 eclipse GST, and I dont have a manual. Does anyone know what the tick marks on the stock boost gauge are for? Like how much psi per tick mark? Ive got no idea and I need to fight out if my boost is leaking or not.
Definetly get an aftermarket one. I always thought the stock ones are funny. You can be like "guys im running + on my boost guage"
.
If your wondering what you are running stock. It should be between 10-12psi

Well the stock boost guage is reading real boost, its just the guage itself is really no help at all. I think maybe the second line is 10psi. But thats just a guess. If i remember there were three lines. One being vaccuum. Another being the the zero psi line and then one in the + area that might be 10psi. But once again its kinda pointless since there is no scale. But the stock boost guage gets its readings from the MAP sensor on your intake manifold
