Default Boost gauge vaccum line

Hey guys. I was driving my car and lately it has been reading lower and lower vaccum each time and even reading 3-5 psi. I got under my dash and noticed that everytime I push in the clutch it pushed up against my boost gauge vaccum line. Which caused a tear in the line, which also means boost leak. Well anyway, my question is, I went to Home Depot today and got another vaccum line but its a little bigger than the old one. Does this matter? I have not tried putting it on yet, i want to make sure it will work the same way. Or does anyone know where I can buy one?

Because the one I bought is about twice the size as the one I have on there right now. It barely tight around the t-fitting, but if I burn it, it will stay on. It probably about 1/4" bigger. Where did you guys buy yours from? And what size vaccum line do you guys have?

I bought a tube that says "for low pressure." Do you guys think this will be fine?

Its basically like fish tank tubing... i say no.. thats not good enough.

I personally thiknk that it has to be stiffer.

Thanks for the help guys. Found another piece of tubing that is the exact same as my old one. But I have one more question...

Everytime you push in the clutch does the boost gauge read more or less vaccum? Or when driving and pushing in the clutch to shift, does it read lower? Or does it read lower than when in gear/ idle?
