Anything you can use to create a seal... and have a valve attached to it... thats all you need.

Nice! Well, i was thinking about it, and once i get home, i am gonna take off all the intercooler piping. Then start from the throttle body and work my way to the turbo. If that doesnt work, then i will do the boost leak test.

Well, i did it without a boost leak tester... and found the boost leak. One of my couplers was blown. Had a gash in it. But now... i have a question.. I might still have it or not. But when i floor it, around 4-5 i hear a hiss INSIDE the car. My guess is probably the boost gauge line, BUT it reads fine. Is this just the Spool up of the turbo?

You will hear the turbo spool, but it won't sound like a hiss inside the cabin..it's more of a mechanical whine (turbo spool that is). Hissing is air leaking and since your boost gauge is the only thing that can make that hissing sound, then, there you go. Zip ties work real well for things like that.

I'm gonna have to agree with Silvercoupe... the only thing inside the car that could hiss is the the boost gague. . . unles you have a window cracked lol

just pull the gauge out and check to see if it's completely sealed or not, rev it up to get some boost goin and run your finger along the line to see if you can feel anything or at least pinpoint where it might be coming from. i know it's a pain but if it is coming from the line itself, replace it, you want accurate reaadings on your car when it comes to boost, you don't wanna be boosting 22lbs and have it read 15... then get crazy one day and accidentally and unknowingly turn it up to 30lbs!!!!
